I am building this kit from Elenco and just soldered in the IC socket for the LM386.
My soldering techniques are at best, intermediate, and the pins of the IC socket are tiny and close.
I inspected the soldering with a good 10x loupe and some of the pins are suspicious. Paticularily 3&4, and 5&6 and 6&7.
I have tried solder wick and re soldering 3 times now so want to avoid it if possible.
I put my ohm meter on the points to see if there was continuity and it says yes.
Reading the schematic, it seems to me that pins 3 to 4 would have continuity anyway since they go directly to ground. The other pin pairs I think could go either way, either a short between the pins or they get to ground through the other pathways.
Is that an accurate reading of the schematic re pins 3 and 4 ?
Thanks
