At the bottom of every RK097 are these tiny plastic dimples. They are 0.6mm tall. What is their purpose?

To lift it slightly above tha board. This allows a solder fillet to form on the top of the board without the solder flowing onto the plastic body of the pot. Also, if the board goes through washing, having some stand-off avoids cleaning fluid getting stuck underneath the component.
