So what power rating is a typical 50ohm input on a scope ? I have it on my sds1204x-e, bu I don't have any extra hardware for all that. I don't need it for now, but it's on my list to get a few BNC parts next year.

You have what on your SDS1204X-E?  Surely not a 50R input?

A typical scope spec would be a maximum of 5VRMS @ 50R, so 1/2 watt.
Correct, only the 2ch 2000X-E’s sport a selectable 50R input.
