x86 industrial motherboard with unknown connector
« on: July 28, 2019, 09:12:14 pm »
Hi, i have this motherboard on my wheel balancer. SECCO Italy CS478 REVB
Geode 200mhz 8Mb sdram

All i can find in google is that it is a DIN 41612.

I am afraid that the motherboard will die again (already did twice)
Is it possible to adapt this pinout to a isa or pci to use on a more modern motherboard?

Figure out why it's dying first...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIN_41612

Often used in what is called the European industrial connector.
Many times it is just a standard PC/104 interface in a special connector.
For being mounted in a 19" rack...

it died because of memory, i think the onbord 8Mb are not ok so the first time i used a 32mb dimm and it worked for a little bit.
After that i even tryed to reflow the grafic chip but for nothing, i found another 64mb dimm and it works again.

i saw many boards with the 104 conector it would be a lot better to find than this.

Check the caps and especially the stability of the RAM supply voltage. They don't just die for no reason.

the caps look fine and i have 3.39v on the 3.3v rail.
What i see now is that the onboard memory is not working, only the 64mb that i added.
