series&parallel connection of batteries under load
« on: July 08, 2017, 07:22:12 pm »
Hi,

I have 15x18650 cells connected in parallel, I have observed that the cells which are near to the terminals are getting much more strained rather than cells at the other end under high load conditions. I tried to solve it by connecting the +tive terminals of each cell with equal length of wire, this seems to work and each cell seems to get equal share of the load.

Is there any other was to solve this, I have seen many tutorial of 18650 cells being used for battery pack and are just connected in a matrix, am I missing something here.

Also what will happen if these same cells are connected in series which cell be under more stress (assuming are are balanced perfectly) or all will have equal share of the load.

thanks,
Sanjeev
