help fluorescent tube with dimmer
« on: Today at 10:17:52 am »
Hello everyone,

I have a fagerhult loop light fixture that is supposed to allow dimming of the light by applying 1-10V to two terminals. Unfortunately, the datasheet that came with it has been thrown away, so I'm looking for some help to get it working.

Inside the fixture, there are two Philips HF Regulator II units. I have attached pictures of the nameplate, connector, and HF Regulator II units for more context.

I am using 230V mains.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction regarding the connection and dimming of the lights?

Thank you in advance for your help!

checking continuity between the terminal marked with a red pen and ballast #14 and #15.
I couldn't find any information, but I did see a website that mentioned some sort of external dimming controller.

my bet if you apply something between 0-10V on [DC= DC-] inputs you will get your dimmer function.
in fact philips says exactly this here https://www.lighting.philips.com/prof/lighting-electronics/fluorescent/fluorescent-dimming-gear/hf-regulator-ii-for-tl5-lamps/LP_CF_HFR2ANT5_EU/family in the leaflet:
Benefits
• The lamp power can be dimmed from 1 to 100% via the Analog control input (in
accordance with the 1-10 V industry standard)
