MSW inverter question
« on: December 20, 2022, 06:39:44 pm »
Can an electric vehicle be charged using a modified sine wave inverter or does it need to be a Pure Sine Wave inverter?
My son-in-law want to use a battery and inverter to charge his Mini in a emergency.

What sort of battery is he intending to use? It would need to be something sizeable to be of any use

Regular lead acid car battery.  He just wants to use it to get a few miles to get to nearest charger.
