You know those 100s (1000s?) of little jumper wires you have that are super handy when working up a prototype on a breadboard...?
(A small sampling of mine that recently got scattered about by a small furry creature)
I have mostly male/male for breadboarding, but also some male/female & female/female that are handy for connecting to/between header pins of various boards. There are also various lengths, and less importantly (for storage purposes) different colors. I have yet to find a good way to store these things so that they are easily/quickly accessible, ideally with separation between gender pairs as well as lengths.
I'm interested in seeing what sort of system some of you guys have come up with to store them. I know some people just throw them in a box/bin and create colorful spaghetti, but I'm trying to find something with a lower random seek time. The last thing I want to do in the middle of wiring up a circuit is spend 3 minutes hunting down a suitable jumper wire for the connection-of-the-moment.
