hey guys what is the h255L component is a active or passive type. how do i tell if its it active or not. Also is the component a crystal or a oscillator? This is in a synology ds216+ nas

Looks like a 25MHz Crystal to me with the two caps beside it...
Regarding the difference active/passive: an active component is capable of amplifying or routing a signal in some way. A passive can't do that, it can only dampen a signal.
