How to test the bq51050b?
« on: Yesterday at 01:17:53 pm »
I want to use the bq51050b to enable wireless charging in my project.
So I am making a test-board for only the bq51050b first, to make sure I understand how it works.
I have soldered up the test board now, and put it on a wireless charger, which works for phones.
I tried to measure two things my multimeter:

1. LiPo not connected, measuring amps.
2. LiPo connected to GND and BATT, measuring amps.
2. LiPo connected to GND and BATT, measuring voltage.
Attatched image shows connection of PCB, battery and wireless charger.
Kicad and gerber files found here if useful: https://gitlab.com/hellesvik/electronic_dice/-/tree/4_layer_test_gerbs/16mm0dice/kicad?ref_type=heads

All tests measure 0, so one of the following must be true:
1. I am testing it wrong.
2. My design is wrong.
3. My soldering job went wrong.

So I create this ticket to check 1: Am I testing it right?
