Heathkit Analog Tube Oscilloscope Model HO-10

I have an ancient Heathkit HO-10 oscilloscope, and i have no idea what the hell to do with it!!! I cannot find any useful info on the internet about it, and i was wondering about the specs of this certain scope. It has to be as well back as the mid 40's and it is a dual trace o-scope, 10mHz bandwidth, and it wont work, but thats an easy fix. The 1V2 tube is busted and im ordering a new one, but in the mean time i want to know some information on it. PLEASE HELP!!!

If it's from the 40s, it's probably not triggered or calibrated, which makes it of limited utility compared to the 'modern' scopes like Tektronix made since 1960 or so.

Yeah, it has a quite high calibration, within ±6%, which is a pretty accurate scope for the 40's! But, it isnt triggered, so repetitive signals have to be adjusted on the frequency range just right so you can see the changing waveform, but, it doesn't matter about the accuracy, i just really need it to see changes in frequency, like for a pwm circuit, oscillator, 555, etc.

Calibrated means that there's a graticule (grid), and the vertical and horizontal settings are marked with X V/div or Y us/div. This allows you to do simple measurements (with 3% tolerance or so). I believe calibrated oscilloscopes were introduced in the 40s, but I'd expect Heathkit to be a bit behind the 'big boys' like Tektronix.

Yeah, it is one of the smaller models, but with ALOT more quality, and, plus, heathkit back then was a big name in the early 40's, because Tektronix was founded in 1946 i beleive, but it does have simple calibrations, but i really just need it to measure signals
