Help identifying connector on a universal laptop adapter
« on: June 20, 2023, 07:59:03 pm »
Hello.

A friend of mine donated a bunch of "GISSARAL" branded laptop AC adapters.
These have proprietary socket, in which you connect the specific adapter for specific laptop, including older magsafe and USB PD type connectors.
The issue is that these adapters are lost, we only have a bunch of AC adapters only.

Technically, I can open the adapter and solder the wires directly, but it won't have that great look again.
As I estimated using DMM, the left and right pairs are Vss and Vdd and middle pin is Type C CC1 connector.

I'm attaching picture of both socket and the plug which is missing. Maybe someone has an idea what type it is?

No, it doesn't look like Molex kk - it is closer to some battery connectors can be seen on various drones.

No, these are longer and receptacles are concealed.
I had a small drone with such socket, but it was 3 pin (2S battery). It was almost 10 years ago, so I forgot it's name, but it was orange logo on white background, if that helps.

The 2nd from the left on the bottom row here is the closest match I can find currently (but this one has a lock)
