I simply can't use the Arduino IDE. The text is too small to read on a very high resolution display and I have to mess around and change the colors because I can't see red or orange. The Arduino IDE is truly trash!
Jeez.Had you been in a company doing work on there computers, you would have had to buy new pairs of glasses every year.
There's a conspiracy against old people. They want us to retire and get out of the way! Well, I fooled them! I retired 14 years ago and have been kicking back ever since. No commute and my pension check arrives regularly.
Font size and color isn't the only reason I dislike the Arduino IDE. I like the more professional features of Eclipse or Visual Studio. Not that they are always that easy to use for cross development but adding the VisualMicro Arduino gadget to Visual Studio makes a very nice place to work.
The good news is that the Arduino IDE works. For a newcomer, this is ideal. Just install the software, connect the board via USB, select the proper COM port and they're ready to go to work. It just doesn't get any easier! And that's the point...
