Vehicle lights

Hello,

I would like to get some advice and maybe to see if someone can check over my design work?
I have a basic setup of a few power regulators and a VU meter chip.

The basic design idea is that using a switch you can decide between bar or dot mode. Also an RC network in order to create a slower rise in voltage, to get that sequential effect.
What I need to work out is if the resistor attached to pins 6&7 is adequate current limiting for my ss8850s? Or do i have to add a 1k to all of the base pins of my fets?
From what I have read, the resistor on 6&7 is designed for "brightness" on the led, which should translate to current flow through my transistors.

Its my first proper design on paper and have started to build it, just need to make sure there is nothing silly in my design I am missing.

Thanks again.
