What's your thought on this meter for electronics

It is a great general-purpose DMM. Sturdy, well-made professional tool, will retain its calibration for many years if not abused.  On an electronics workbench, it would make a fine second DMM, but I'd want something with a few more features as a main DMM.  Things like relative measurement, min/max/avg, and a micro-amp range, none of which a 77-II has.

But my main meter is $10 dollar craftsman  and I got this for less than $40 bucks shipped... My old lady plans on buying me a UNI 61E for Christmas when she has the cash  and I figure for the price I can't go wrong ...

If you can only have one, I would say the 61E will probably be more useful to you for electronics work.

If you decide to buy the 61E on the internet, get it from Franki, to avoid receiving a dud one. I met him in Hong Kong and I can say he is a first class guy.
