Lithium charging module advice (2S)
« on: July 24, 2024, 05:24:27 pm »
Anybody have any expertise / experience with dual cell charging circuits?
Is there an optimal ideal? Im unsure if a balanced charge module is worse than a normal 2S module. I did see (years ago now) someone said the balanced 2S module wouldnt ever actually balance it evenly, one cell would be off by a slight margin. Though maybe thats still best? Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

I have a simple project requiring 2 cells at 7.2v and I have both types of 2S modules so just need to decide a winner.

I don't know, but would appreciate it if you would post links to the two types you have.

Many discussions exist on this already.
The "optimal ideal" would be a balanced charger or a balanced BMS. In reality you can get away without if the cells are well matched.
