Loudspeaker impedance

Hi
We're going to build a retro radio and the design calls for an LT700 transformer (secondary is 3.2 ohms) and a three ohm speaker. However, every small speaker on eBay is at least eight ohms. Would one of those be ok ?
Thanks

It will work, and will be slightly softer but works well.

Thanks for the quick reply. Any value in adding a resister in parallel to get it nearer three ohms ?

No real value, it will work with any speaker from 2R to 16R with no problems. The speaker impedance is in any case going to vary with frequency as well.

Maybe too late now, but 4 ohm speakers might be found from some sources (perhaps intended for car audio use?)
