What's an interesting, Simple Bluetooth Low Energy Project for a Beginner?

Are there any?  Beginner in electronics...I've taken a circuits 1 course, electronics documentation, intro electronics fabrication, some digital basics, some other fundamental courses and tinkered around doing basic repairs but don't really know what I'm doing yet.  But the applications of BLE fascinate me...PS: I have ADD (truly diagnosed, and not the hyperactive type) so I always gravitate toward application first.
