Hi,

I got a nickel rod, and I would like to try to make it into some sort of mechanical filter (just for fun).  Put a coil on each side, put a signal on one side, read it out the other, see what the frequency response is.

Would like to use my nanoVNA to do this.

What amplifiers on either side should I use?  Any pointers to how to go about doing this?  (I'm finding various articles from magazine reprints from the 50s, but nothing that has been super helpful yet.)

Cheers!
-Ben
