Sugestions about thermal binding machine stuff

hello,
i bought this GBC T400 Thermal Binder http://www.gbceurope.com/gbc/en/gb/p/461/4400410/gbc-t400-thermal-binder-uk.aspx for $3, i tore it down and it has 40x330mm (1.6x13 inches in america:) ) heating plate which is the most interesting part in this thing.



 i want to ask you guys to give me suggestions what to do with this thing in electronics. what is the best way to use it ?
