Your question does not provide enough information to be able to answer it very well. Are you trying to find out if an existing system is working normally? Or if something will work if you try it? What devices are you trying to connect?
When you say "line input", if you mean it in the technical sense, for example what would be in the specifications, then it will typically have a maximum of... perhaps +12 dBu (3 volts) to +20 dBu (7.75 volts).
24 volts would be about +30dBu, which would definitely be way above normal, and no normal line input could handle it.
Speaker outputs are commonly put through a properly-configured direct box, which will pad the signal down appropriately (often through a very simple resistive divider).
