tda 2050 bridge

i have 2 separate tda 2050 mono boards working separately fine—-but if i bridge them—-huge distortion–slight song coming out——————-c1 cap wrong given—-i have reversed polarity—-i have +/- 22 v dc-------unregulated with  transformer--16-0-16 v ac

Actually, C1, C2 and C4 should be non-polarised, as there's no DC bias across them.

Does it produce any sound when nothing is connected to the input? Perhaps it's oscillating?

Have you connected an 8R resistor, in place of the speaker and looked at the output on an oscilloscope, with the input connected to a signal generator.

I heard the sound break up when you turned the potentiometers. Breadboards are known to produce intermittent connections and their rows of contacts and messy wires all over the place have capacitance between them causing oscillation. The rows of contacts and messy wires all over the place also pickup mains hum and all kinds of interference.

There is no way a solderless breadboard can pass the 4A to 5A from your circuit.
But you never said the speaker impedance. 4 ohms is too low, 8 ohms peak current will be about 5A which is the maximum allowed current from a TDA2050.

I saw the power supply in the bucket blinking its blue LED on the loudest parts so it is having trouble producing 5A. I did not see a speaker in a proper enclosure.

Get rid of the solderless breadboard and solder everything together compactly. Use a power supply that is not overloaded. You played music (??) that I have never heard before since I have never been to your side of the world.
