How do you screw stock microscope mount to the table?

Me honestly have to clue how he did it. But I have to figure it out. Attached pics. Otherwise I'd have to pay $110 for something like this custom made:

Looks like you need to make a hole in the tabletop for the threaded part in 2023-09-01_17-51_1.png to just fit through.  Are there any more pieces you have not shown?

This is the stock mount



I want to figure out how to screw the pole from the stock mount into table. Making the hole in the table is no problem. The problem is that table is thick.

The problem is that table is thick. 

Use a longer bolt then.
As an alternative, you can also use the stock table, rotate it a bit and then put something heavy like a power supply on top of it. This is at least an easy temporary solution.

Now that I see the large plate, that changes things.  Does the bolt with with head for an Allen key unscrew and come out of the black cylinder?

Yea, I now realize that it is a bolt after all. So I'm getting a longer bolt and two flat wide heavy washers.
