Diode replacement options?
« on: May 14, 2021, 10:52:00 pm »
Hello, I'm trying to fit an inductive sensor onto a 3D printer and the instructions call for a BAT85 to stop the 24v powering the sensor being sent to the 5v mainboard, unfortunately, I don't have one to hand.

I was wondering if I could substitute for something I have to hand:
1n4001
1n4002
1n4004
1n4148
Bzx55c4v7 Zener
Bzx55c5v1 Zener

1n4148 should work fine here. Its Vf is still under 1 V under all currents and temperatures. And for room temperature and low current it is about 0.5 V.
