does the load matter? no it's not a car, it's a much bigger vehicle, which makes no difference to the requirements discussed above that now do not include measuring this load.

What I meant was, what was suppose to be the load? I can't think of anything in a car that requires 150A? Maybe its a bigger viechle?

The start circuit usually takes way more, so that's out. But the alternator/generator output leaps to mind. 150A alternators are pretty common. Or it could be a bolt-on accessory, like a power winch or wheelchair lift?

@Simon,
IMHO you are being trolled.  As an admin you've got more options than us ordinary mortals, so just lock the topic and move on to better things like enjoying this festive season!

To the others who have been suckered into this:
Take a break, and chillax.

Merry Christmas all!

Oh i like to keep em guessing. It will tickle the hell out of them if i have to tell them what the load was going to be :)

It will not tickle the hell out of us, we don't care, its your life and work on the line.

Its extermely important, a measurement circuit needs to account for the movement and possible interferences, also for the chance of damage on the device. If this is needed for security purposes (the ECU does something) then a sudden change or other problem can cause harm and a woman of the Uber smart(stupid) cars to die!
