MCAD 3D model import error
« on: August 27, 2024, 10:32:44 am »
I get 'Fusion 30 was not able to import the following models' and then a list of all 3D models on the board.

Also the board geometry (copper/silk) is only visible as bounding box.
Altium version is 24.0.1, co-designer plugin is the latest version (3.9.0.12).
Is this a known issue, and how to fix it?

Unfortunate, I just opened a ticket on the Altium forums to see if someone can help get this fixed.
With these import errors the MCAD plugin is of no use currently.

For future readers: this was apparently cause by using a personal fusion 360 license.
You need a paid license for the MCAD plugin to work.
