Post Export Scripting?
« on: September 04, 2013, 05:30:38 pm »
Is there any method of running a batch file or other script after an export is complete?  I'm not finding a way to modify the output job enough to do exactly what I want.

An example of this is a script for each type of board fab house.  OSH Park wants NC Drill as XLN.  It is .TXT.  I can't find a way to copy the .TXT to .XLN or renaming to that without manually doing it.  It would be cool to be able to copy only the relevant files to a directory, so all I have to do I zip up the directory after I check the gerbers.

Not sure how your scripting skills are, but you could check this one out and see if there's any useful bits you can use as inspiration.

As for renaming etc, you could just write a .bat file doing that sort of thing and then manually press the magic button to fire it off. That will at least save you the manual actions.

Thanks for the pointer.  I'll read through that and see what I can do.  I'm a EE that went software and have only recently been "reformed", so I'm pretty good on the scripting and programming side.
