DXF export?
« on: August 21, 2012, 04:05:47 pm »
Hey guys, I'm trying to export a DXF of the solderpaste layers so I can lasercut my own stencils, I'm using the convert to camtastic first method then export as DXF, and the file contains what I want, however it seems to insert this damn empty layer as layer 0. This upsets the laser cutter software & it won't show up at all.

Is there a way to disable this useless layer, or move the paste to this layer instead?

I have been digging around software to try find something to delete the layer, but it's not going anywhere :(

Cheers,
Dan

You could try with CamBam+.

Well, I've managed to get it working, although somewhat hackily.

It turns out the laser cutter software is expecting a "layer0", and not the "0" that Altium produces. I can leave the "0" layer there and just rename the one I want to "Layer0" and it works, although the scale is waaaayyyyy out for some reason. How do you change between metric and imperial for Camtastic's DXF export?

Dan
