Connector diagrams
« on: February 05, 2020, 11:17:48 am »
Hi. I have some documentation work, and I would need to place connector pinout diagrams into the documentation. Can this be easily done in Altium? Has enyone used/abused the schematic editor or the draftsman to do this?

PNG drops in (Place / Drawing Tools / Graphic).  Or if you have vector, or can convert to it (eww?), may be able to paste that in as such.

Yep i have a coworker that abuses Altium for all sorts of vector drawing.

For simple stuff it works well enough, but i tend to use CorelDraw for actual vector drawing tasks, maybe Inkscape can be a free alternative.

Well, I dont think it is going to win any awards, but it doesnt have to.
The Schematic editor is pretty useless for this, this is in draftsman.
