Holes are shifted
« on: October 08, 2013, 01:30:22 pm »
Hello,
I printed my pcb and i got this:

http://marek.php5.sk/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/offset.png

You can see that holes of U2 is shifted. Holes in right looks ok.

My workflow is:
-generate print preview
-set up colors, layers, scale...
-print with pdf printer

The colored print is also shifted. When i generate pdf with "output job file" offset is also there. U2 on image is MAX232 which i found in standard library "TI Interface Line Transceiver.IntLib". Holes in parts that i drawed myself are also shifted

...any advice is appreciated

That really is quite weird.

Only thing i can think of is some setting or shortcut has been switched on by accident.
i have no idea what setting that is though.

a more demostrative image:

Is there any other method to "wipe" holes? except:

.
.
.

I managed to get this result:

still not perfect, pad on right have dimension 50x100mils, hole is 50mils.
my solution: In windows uninstall a program>altium designer>uninstall>remove preferences
Also changing imperial/metric units schould be avoided, adobe reader might get part on im-perfectance.

...do you guys get same result when you place same pad as i?

Try printing it on paper directly. Maybe your pdf printer does some "optimizations". What softwere do you use to generate pdfs? What about gerber files? do they look ok?
