Can someone advise, which is the best known forum to discuss 3D Printing related issues.

Ytube has lots of good information,  example - the CHEP ones  which  mostly cover the Creality Ender printers

I'm looking for 3D forums in general, you are right there are a lot of videos on youtube regarding 3d printing, but problem with video is that you have to watch whole video and then you reach to a conclusion if issues i was looking for were discussed or not.

I'm new to 3d printing, I want to discuss 3d printer issues and cad/slicer software related things too.

Know exactly what you mean, one of our first stops was this EVB forum but so little following ??
There are a few other dedicated 3D printing forums, but again hardly used or replied to ?

Do not use, but been told there is a large following on Facebook, though some say its not be best place for good info.

Consider we are fortunate in that on another non tech forum a member there was showing his 3D printed items and he offered to guide us though the start up.
We went for the Ender3 V2 and he suggested using Tinkercad or Fusion360 along with Cura and Octoprint if needed.
Have to say do not think we could have built the Ender kit from their manual  and achieved such good results without his advice which filled in so many things they do not even mention.

Only just starting on the software and CAD is not something we have done before,  but good to know I can get some help if really stuck.

Would appreciate a heads up if you do find a good 3D forum.

Unfortunately some of the talking heads and manufacturers promoted farcebook for printer assistance and discussion. IT SUCKS DOGS .......  It searches and index's terribly before you even get to the content if you can.

With CAD fusion is my weapon of choice https://www.eevblog.com/forum/mechanical-engineering/fusion-360-mechanical-design-tips-tweaks-and-discussion-(not-eagle)/ and there is a bunch of youtube resources in the opening post. With CAD there is others ranging from painfully simple to painful to use from zero cost open source to multi k/year. Starting with the hobby/free version of Fusion is reasonably painless and offers a simple save as style to generate STL's for slicing. The built in slicer in fusion is best avoided at this stage IMO.

For slicing software getting a result is possible in a lot of cases just using the defaults for basic models so learning on the fly with a little nudge as needed is fairly painless these days. Prusa Slicer, Cura and a few others are all fairly simple unless you have crazy overhangs or really complex models.

As of very recently, Fusion now allows you to "3D print to" the 3MF format. I read through some of the discussion of 3MF vs STL and it seems like 3MF is the way to go.

If you mean forum in a generic sense of a place to discuss things rather than an interface like the one on eevblog, I'd recommend #reprap on IRC (liberachat)

I wish there was a good forum about 3d printing, but mostly it seems split between some reddit channels, where there is very rarely anything like a conversation or detaield discussion of a matter, and some half dead forums (the first google results) where most posts don't get replied to and the latest activity is usually several weeks old.

Yes , strange isn't it ? 

Such a popular subject but so little on the typical web forums.

As mentioned earlier have been told that Facebook and the like have lots of 3d content, though we do not use SM sites.

Thankful we came across an established Ender 3D printer user in another non technical forum who has given us invaluable advice on setting up the hardware and how to get going with the software.

I use telegram, the answers are faster
