Service Manual for Cisco Catalyst 3750G

Hi guys
    I tried all around the internet to find a service manual for a Cisco Catalyst 3750G ( or a troubleshoot manual for it with test points ) but I could not find any. Could any of you find something close to that?
    I need that in order to debug my switch that died some time ago. It throws errors like

1 Retry (ASICs Detected 0,configured 7)

    Initially the max3232 died so that is changed now but I still have no idea what made the max blow in the first place. What I want to do is try to find the actual problem why it's not finding the asics. ( could all 7 asics be dead? ). There are 4 max3780 chips that run at around 87 deg celsius and I am thinking that they might be blown as well. The max3780 ( and most of the chips on the board ) seem to run @125Mhz.
    The max 3780 chips ( which are used for stacking I think ) get their clock input from a IDT ICS8535-01 ( that is connected to the 125Mhz oscilator ) ( does anybody have any idea how I can test that oscilator with a 25Mhz osciloscope? ) and as I see it the rest of the board gets their clock input via 2 cascaded chips that are CY2CC8100I / twn0537 ( which I think are 1:10 Clock Fanout Buffer ). Till I test the frequency that it works I guess that one of the above chips failed but can't be sure.
    Any thoughts?

Considering that Cisco swap hardware, when you have service contract.  I don't think you will find a service manual.

I think you have  Buckley's and none of repairing it  http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Buckley%27s_and_none

Unless it's a simple problem like a broken PSU you won't have much success fixing the switch since Cisco's stuff is full of ASICs. Sorry!

I will try to order 7 CYNSE70130B chips ( which I think are the ASICs that the software complains about ) since the error message is "1 Retry (ASICs Detected 0,configured 7)". I think I might get around with swapping the 7 chips.

Now I need to check the prices

Hello asp,

I have an out of waranty 3750G-48TS with a problem on a specific asic chip and I came across your post Googling for some resources to identify the asic. Just curious, did you have any luck reparing yours? Personally I haven't removed any heatsinks yet and even if I do, I'm not sure if I can even see a visual indication for a faulty component. I did try to identify as many parts of the board as I could since the switches are different.
Can't remember right now what the chips in the first picture in the yellow box are for ( they are some TI chips ).
On the second image it's the chip that I think if faulty on your chip. It errors on CAM memory tests so I think is the third TCAM memory that's fauly. You could try to remove it with a hot air gun or swap it with another one and see if the error and the memory addresses are the same.

This is the relevant part ASIC:3 ( so by my uneducated guess it's the CAM memory on the 3rd ASIC ). If the error is persistent it might either be some resistors on the back or some capacitors ( try to test the tantalum caps on the back of the board as well ) or the asic itself ( or they might have some random numbering of the asics but I guess that is not the case )

Later edit: You might also consider the sram on top of the board as it fails in a stacking subtest
