In one direction, not in the other.

Set to V_diode test on the meter. ~0.6V from AC to + or - and 1.2V from + to -  Pos of meter on the Anode, Neg on the Kathode

DMM reads "959" when I place the +probe on -terminal of the bridge and -probe on positive terminal of the bridge. Reversing probes give me "1" on my meter

Across + and - terminals of the recitifier bridge I have 26 M ohms in one direction and 1.7 M ohms in the other direction.

We can't work out from that. You need to use the Diode_Test mode on the meter.
Sometimes, you select resistance first, then press a Mode or Range button, until you see a diode symbol or text in the window.
Your looking for Voltage drop. The bridge may have leakage (resistance), and still be fine.

Unfortunately, that doesn't make any sense at all. Those readings are too strange. You would need to post a pic of the setup, with the meter and the connections to the bridge, and
showing the identification. Doesn't need to be too large, just readable.

This meter has recently been described as "less than ideal" I am not so kind when I reference this meter.  :)

Left pin on bridge is neg and right is pos

Couldn't find the manual on-line anywhere. It doesn't seem to be in Diode_Test mode. There should be a icon of a diode on the LCD. That range seems to have 3 settings, usually you toggle
through them with one of the other buttons. It seems to be in buzzer / 3rd? mode. Hopefully, someone else will have a better idea on that meter. Sorry

I think the bridge is OK. Thanks for trying to help. Chasing down a short on circuit board....

Yeah, I saw that pdf, but it was really poor to read, so I was looking for a better copy. Having a look, a 1 is open cct, the voltage drop may be 0.959? =2 diodes.

Another option - If you have a power supply - Set to say 5V, current limit to 20-50mA (or use a ressitor) - connect it across the bridge and simply measure the voltage drop
across each diode. They should all be very similar. You may need to do each one separately.

In forward your DMM is measuring 964mV, in reverse the 1 signals that it's "Out of range" because it can't measure it.
